As we move from Summer into Autumn it can be expected we may feel certain ways about this. For some the prospect of Autumn is exciting for others it may feel somewhat daunting. Lower temperatures and a reduction in sunlight can lead to us feeling more tired, sluggish, de-motivated and even depressed. Please don't think there is anything wrong if you experience this.
What is key is to take actions to help yourself. Vitamin D supplements, SAD lamps and winter sun vacations all contribute to managing the Autumn and Winter seasons. I hope you all find the change of seasons bearable and if the changes are not beneficial to you and your mood, that you can still enjoy aspects of the fluctuations in our weather and seasons. On the basis you are finding it hard to navigate do share it with a family member or a trusted friend. As a therapist I am available to support you with this too.
